Submit to discipline and rehearsals" Revd tells incoming choir as he speaks on his recent transfer
Gradually, the church is drawing near a new year meaning that church harvests and anniversaries would be coming to a close real soon. Most fellowships have had theirs and the church choir wasn't left out as they held their anniversary on the 22nd of October,2017.
Speaking with the VMAC Editorial crew after the service, the Assistant Reverend of the church, Revd O.C. Makinde commended the choir and said that he looked forward to their greater performances in consequent events. He said that the choir had been putting in a lot of effort to bring forth the beauty of Christian music in the Anglican communion and believes that if they continued at that pace, the choir would soon become voices to be reckoned with in the diocese and country in general. As a respected figure in church music race in the Anglican communion, the Reverend scored the choir excellently and prayed that God would bless them abundantly.

Speaking further, the reverend said that aspiring choir members were welcome to join the choir as the door is opened widely for all intending members to join. He directed them to see the Choir Mistress or the church Organist for proper arrangements. He noted that being a member of the choir requires strong discipline and commitment.
" It is a voluntary service to God, you don't get paid for to join. He encourage the intending choir to see the church organist, join practices, submit to rehearsals, submit to discipline and you are good to go!"

Continuing in his speech, he further stressed on the recent news that's have been going about as regards the transfer of Ibadan north diocese priests and sadly our church isn't left out either Reverend Makinde said its a welcome development.
"My transfer is no more a rumour, the Bishop owns his priests and he can do the transfer at anytime. And that is the meaning of our vestment, stole in particular. I can be moved to anywhere ,priests aren't tied to a church but to their Bishop"

He continued by saying that it is the duty of a priest to go just as Jesus commands all Christians to "Go ye...."He mentioned that when priests are ordained, they are usually told that they could be transferred to any station at any point in time and that's part of the priesthood mandate.
Glorious Youth Editorial crew knows that our readers are not going to be satisfied with this response, this was why we asked for a further appointment with the Reverend as regards his transfer and to know more about his ministry as a whole,to which the reverend obliged.

Watch out to receiving more updates regarding our further interview with him soon.
