FIRST SUNDAY SERMON IN 2019: SEEKING & FINDING THE SAVIOUR

WORD OF POWER ON SUNDAY

THEME: SEEKING AND FINDING THE SAVIOUR
By: Venerable Remi Afosi

TEXT: 'Now when Jesus was born ........, there came wise man from the east to Jerusalem'- Matt. 2:1

The announcement of the birth of Christ generated interest all over the world (Luk.2:11) causing the wise men to travel from the east to Jerusalem in search of the newly born king to worship Him. Matt.2:2.
Not only did they seek to give their worships to the newly born king, they also incurred great expenses in making the journeys and made an offering their best to Jesus -. Matt.2:11.
The men gave their best to Jesus unlike many today who will only give to God their leftovers while others will not even give anything to God who delights to give them all things freely to enjoy -. Mal. 1:7-8

These wise men represent all people from all lands in whom the Holy Spirit stirs up in them the divine assignment of seeking after and worshipping the living God through His Son Jesus Christ.
Happy People Enjoying the Sermon
Beloved, the wise men saw the stars. From afar off and made all efforts to find Him. Unfortunately, we are in a time when many people don't have time to seek the Lord not to talk of serving Him faithfully.
As we are in another year of grace now, let's make up of our minds to seek the Lord and be wise to search for Him till we find the Saviour because He is to answer to the world problems of humanity - Jer 31:25.
Beloved, the wise men sought Jesus because they believed there was truth to be found in Him alone - Matt.2:1-2. The truth is the only thing worth seeking in this life with all our hearts and souls on daily basis - Matt.2:11.
Offering Time, Blessing Time!
Therefore, let us be ready this year to be like the wise men, in seeking for Christ in obedience to the Scriptures with our hearts to worship Him which translates into giving to Him freely of our times, talents and treasures.
Victorious People Matching to Render Their Offering!
